The Terrible Texan

Hailing from Houston, Texas, The Terrible Texan is a three piece heavy metal band consisting of Paul Nelson on bass guitar and vocals, Ethan Shupp on lead guitar, and Cameron Diego on Drums. Their music is edgy and filled with hard hitting energy, yet you can groove and dance to it at the same time. Their loud, easily recognizable tone and attitude makes The Terrible Texan one of the most epic bands in the Houston area. Taking a little bit of the essence from grunge, metal, and punk, The Terrible Texan consistently delivers soundscapes that will challenge your perception of what a modern punk band really is.

Founded in 2020, the original lineup of Paul, Calvin, and Avery split up after creative and personal differences. Paul continued the mission, recording Violence, Vice, and Virtue as an entire solo project, enlisting help from fellow musicians within the Houston metal scene.
